Flowers are one of the most beautiful and fun touches in your wedding, but chances are that you’ve spent very little time looking at floral bouquets in the past. But on your wedding day, you want nothing but the best for your bouquet and the flowers that decorate your ceremony or reception.

In order to find just the right floral arrangement for you, you need to make a few considerations. Step out of the ordinary and use these tips to help you find the perfect flowers for your wedding.

Consider the Season

It’s your day and you can choose whatever kinds of flowers you want regardless of the season. But if you’re unsure or you’re interested in seeing a few more options, consider flowers that are appropriate for the season. For example, winter is a great time for Daffodils or Gerbera Daisies, while Gardenias and Poppies would be perfect for a summer wedding.

Visit Some Florists

You may think you’re sure what kind of flowers you want at your wedding. It’s even possible that you’ve had them in mind for awhile now. But how many types of flowers can you actually name off the top of your head? If you’re like most people, it’s not many.

Instead of picking what you always thought you’d want at your wedding, take an afternoon and visit 3 or 4 florists in your area. See what they have to offer and ask the florists what flowers they recommend. Tell the florist a little about your wedding: whether it’s indoors or outdoors, what your dress looks like, and in what season the wedding will take place, and they will no doubt have some great ideas for you.

Consider an Alternative to Flowers

As much as we love flowers, they are no longer an indispensable part of a wedding. Many people are finding that flowers make up too large a portion of their wedding budget. Flowers are indeed expensive, and if you get just a little creative, you might be able to use that part of your wedding budget for something else more important to you.

In recent years, brides have come up with all kinds of alternatives to flowers, including everything from antique broaches to crafts. You may want to consider some of these choices before forking out what it takes to deck out your wedding with blossoms.

Take the Sentimental Approach

Another option is to choose a flower that is meaningful to you or has sentimental value. In the end, all flowers are going to be a beautiful addition to your ceremony or reception, so why not choose one that represents a fond memory? Going Green for 2015!


It’s just after the most wonderful time of the year, and that means that millions of Americans will recommit to a healthy lifestyle at the beginning of 2015. If you’re one of them, kudos! While we love foods that are decadent and rich, a healthy and nutritious diet is the key to getting and staying healthy.

To help jump start your year of health, we’ve put together a list of our favorite healthy green foods. These are not only loaded with health benefits, but they are easy to find and trendy for 2015. Many of them are perfect for your green morning smoothie or as a side dish for dinner.

1.   Kale

This super food has been popular for several years now. As it becomes more and more common to see both in home kitchens and in restaurants, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be a staple in your vegetable crisper at all times. Kale is perfect in your morning smoothie, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and baked, or steamed with garlic and onion to eat as a side dish at dinner (it’s great with fish or chicken!)

2. Avocado

Another super food long touted for its nutritional value, avocado is a versatile food that you should be keeping handy in 2015. Avocados are extremely versatile and can be added to everything from salads and sandwiches to omelets and dips. Avocados are also a good source of unsaturated fat.

3. Arugula

If kale is the green of the last 5 years, arugula is the green of the next 5 years. Loaded with health benefits including everything from vitamin A, C, K, and folic acid, arugula is a great addition to almost anything you’re having for dinner. While it’s a frequent ingredient in salads, arugula is also delicious steamed or sauteed and added to pastas, pizzas, or quiches.

4. Green Curry

While it’s probably not the best addition to your morning smoothie, green curry is a trendy, delicious, and healthy ingredient to have stocked in your kitchen. Spices are a great way to boost your metabolism and add flavor to food without adding sodium or sugar. Green curry is usually made with coconut milk, which is a healthy source of fat. Make your own curry from scratch or head to your local Asian supermarket and pick up green curry paste. Just add coconut milk and your favorite vegetables, then sprinkle with crushed peanuts, Thai chili pepper, and fresh lime.

5. Bok Choy

Bok choy is a traditional Asian vegetable with almost unbelievable benefits for your health. While bok choy is still not exploding in popularity in the US, we suspect it’s on its way as Asian fusion cuisine becomes more and more popular. Bok choy is a carotenoid, which is a dietary antioxidant believed to lower your risk of cancer. On top of that, just one cup of shredded bok choy contains half of your daily requirement for vitamins A, C, and K. Bok choy also helps to lower blood pressure.

Convinced now? Get some bok choy at your local health food store or at an Asian supermarket near you. Bok choy is great steamed or sauteed and can be flavored with virtually anything you like. It’s also great in soups and stews.

How to Pair Champagne With Food For New Years


One of the most fun aspects of New Years Eve (especially for us foodies!) is enjoying champagne, a drink reserved for only the most festive occasions. Champagne is a symbol of both the sweetness of the memories of the previous year and a welcoming in of the good times that will come with 2015.

While many of us are accustomed to pairing wines with food, the rarity with which most of us enjoy champagne means that it’s sometimes hard to know what foods go well with champagne. These simple yet impressive choices are sure to please your New Years Eve guests.


When you need a savory hors d’oeuvre to go with your New Years toast, choose something warm and rich to go with the cooler weather. Some ideas include:

  • Mini-quiches. This warm, rich appetizer is popular this time of year because it is filling and versatile. Try offering your guests several different flavors with ingredients that further enhance the flavor of the champagne such as sharp cheddar, basil, sausage, or scallions.
  • Fruit and nut plate. This is a great option if you prefer to keep it simple. It also satisfies the taste buds both of guests looking for something savory and those looking for something sweet. Take advantage of the time of year with some wintry nuts such as walnuts, chestnuts, and pecans.
  • No pairing list is complete without cheese. Choose flavorful, full cheeses such as brie, gouda, or gruyere.
  • Creamy dips. A creamy baked artichoke dip fits nicely with champagne. Plus, it’s always a hit with guests!
  • Fish is a natural complement to light, crisp wines, so it is perfect for pairing with champagne. Choose a flaky, warm, heavier white fish for best results. If your event has the budget, spring for a nice slice of fresh tuna.


For sweet options, don’t be afraid to think outside the box. While some desserts are best as a keynote of your food offerings (such as fondue), others are great in combination so that you can provide a couple of different options. Here are some of our favorites:

  • Chocolate fondue. Fondue is a guest favorite because it’s fun and participatory. Champagne is perfect with chocolate covered strawberries, bananas, pound cake, or angel food cake.
  • Lemon or lime tart, cake, or pie. The crispness of the citrus combined with the sweet bubbles of champagne make a heavenly pair. A citrus sweet is also a good candidate for a gluten-free option if your guest list require one.
  • Rhubarb pie. This classic holiday dessert has long been considered by experts to perfectly compliment champagne.
  • Persimmons are delicious frozen or baked into a dessert. They are traditionally eaten around the holidays, and they’re also in season.
  • Cobbler and vanilla ice cream. Bake some blackberry, blueberry, or apple cobbler to enjoy with your beverage.

Ring in the New Year right with a diverse and festive menu to perfectly complement the festive occasion. And whatever you do, don’t run out of champagne!

How to Host a Last-Minute Office Christmas Party

So Christmas is almost here and so is your office Christmas party. The only problem is that the office has been so busy during the month of December that you and your party committee haven’t had a chance to plan the Christmas party.

Don’t worry, it’s not too late! Here’s our guide for planning your last-minute Christmas party. Follow this advice and you’ll have everyone convinced that you’ve been planning for months.

Keep it Simple.

The first step is not to panic. The good news is that you don’t need anything fancy or elaborate to have a Christmas party. All you really need is:

  • A space
  • A Christmas tree
  • Food
  • A theme

Find a Space.

You may already be planning on simply using your office space for your party. If you are planning your party last-minute, it will likely be hard to find a space available for rental this close to Christmas. But no worries. Your office will be perfectly adequate for your Christmas party. Think of it this way: during such a busy time of the year, people will be relieved not to have another big event in their social calendars to fight through traffic to arrive at on time. Remember, just keep it simple!

Arrange for Food.

If you have a minimal budget for your Christmas party, we recommend using whatever budget you do have for the food. Let’s face it: you don’t have time to get together a menu and decide who is going to bring what. Worse yet, you don’t have time to cook.

The best arrangement for food for your last-minute Christmas party is to hire a catering company to prepare finger foods or dinner. Then, send an email to your party attendees to bring a drink or dessert. We find this arrangement to work well because during such a busy season, people may not have the time prepare food. Instead, let those who are able to contribute do so by bringing a dessert or drink to share with the group.

Choose a Theme.

A theme is a great way to generate buzz for your Christmas party and let everyone get involved. While it’s not an absolutely critical part of your party, it’s easy to implement and makes the party more fun for everyone involved. Gift Exchange or Not?

There are two kinds of Christmas parties: ones with gifts exchanges and ones without. Okay, sure, there are a number of different kinds of Christmas parties, but gift exchanges are so ubiquitous that it’s worth considering whether or not you want to include it for your party.

The main factor in gift exchanges is participation. If you don’t have enough participation, there will be just a few people doing the gift exchange and others will be left out. If they aren’t involved in what’s happening at the party, they may even be tempted to leave early.

If it’s very short notice (just a few days), do not opt to do a gift exchange. It doesn’t give people enough time to get a gift. But if you have several days and you think that your office would enjoy participating, go ahead and do a gift exchange!

All in all, hosting an office Christmas party at the last-minute is easy if you keep it simple and make a few strategic decisions as soon as you can.

4 Brilliant Christmas Party Theme Ideas

So you’re having your annual Christmas party again this year, but you’re looking for something a little different. After last year’s ugly sweater party and the traditional white elephant exchange the year before, you need a fresh take for this holiday season.

Garden of Eating has you covered. Below, we’ve collected our favorite Christmas party theme ideas. After this year’s Christmas party, you’ll be the talk of the town.

1. Gingerbread house-building contest.

This idea is especially good for parties with children, or even for large family gatherings. Divide your group into small teams and provide each team with the same ingredients. Bring the kids shopping with you to select the most unique ingredients you can find. Just make sure the results will be edible. Children love to be the judges for this contest. Don’t forget the camera!

The menu: Well, gingerbread houses obviously! Provide some hot cider, tea, and coffee to wash it down.

2. “White Christmas” Party.

Have you ever noticed how clothing gets darker and darker beginning around Thanksgiving every year? This Christmas, brighten things up with a White Christmas party. Guests should wear as much white as possible.

The menu: Ask your caterer to create a white menu for your guests, such as creamy alfredo chicken breast over linguine, baked garlic cauliflower, warm dinner rolls, and white wine. Finish with angel food cake or vanilla cheesecake for dessert.

3. A spin on the white elephant Christmas party.

Put a twist on the typical white elephant party with a game of Jenga. Buy the game made of wooden blocks, then grab a couple of friends to help you write a different condition or command on each block with a permanent marker. Guests will take turns taking a block, and then they must do what the block says or risk losing their gift. If the tower falls, guests need to give their gift away.

Your blocks can say anything you want. You could have guests tell the group something interesting about themselves, such as their favorite place they’ve ever traveled; you could give them a “dare,” make it a drinking game, or do all three!

The menu: Ask your caterer to prepare some casual Christmas-themed finger foods to fit the fun atmosphere of the game.

4. Christmas ornament party.

Have each of your guests bring an ornament to help you decorate your tree. This is a great idea if your Christmas party is also in celebration of a housewarming, a wedding, an engagement, or a baby.

Alternatively, have a Christmas ornament exchange by giving each guest a number at the door and having a raffle for each guest’s Christmas ornament throughout the evening.

The menu: We think it would be fun to provide a menu of round foods to resemble the traditional Christmas ornament: little bagel finger sandwiches, homemade pizza, a cheese ball, bowls of soup, and chocolate “cake pops” are all nice options.

This holiday season, wowing your friends and family with a breath of fresh air at your Christmas party doesn’t have to be a lot of work. Use one of these tips instead!

3 Simple Sports Party Food Ideas



It’s that time of year again: time to spend weekend afternoons cheering on your favorite team with family and friends. Everyone knows that a sports gathering just isn’t a sports gathering without a constant stream of food to keep the fans enthusiastic.

But you don’t need to break the bank to make that happen, nor spend the entire day cooking. The best snacks for sports events are the simplest. Garden of Eating has a few favorite sports party food ideas up our sleeve. With these recipes, you’re sure to please!

1. Quesadilla Bar

The perfect compliment to beer and sports is cheese, cheese, and… oh yeah, more cheese! That’s why quesadillas are a great snack for the game. But here at Garden of Eating Catering, we like to take quesadillas to the next level by letting your guests create their own.

Put all your ingredients out for guests to choose from, then put small bowls out for guests to use to fill with their desired ingredients.

Some ingredients we recommend are:

  • Multiple kinds of cheese. We like pepper jack, cheddar, and mozzarella, but choose whatever you’d like.
  • Sliced chicken breast
  • Chopped veggies: onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, and jalapeno
  • Sliced avocados or guacamole
  • Pinto and/or black beans
  • Fresh corn salsa

Serve with fresh salsa and sour cream. This idea would be best for smaller groups or parties for which people will arrive at different times.

2. Chili with a Twist

Chili is a simple yet hearty food choice best for cooler days and games for which you need some serious food. Even though it’s filling, it can be inexpensive as well.

We prefer to spice up the usual chili by adding fall favorites such as pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and corn. Some other ideas for a simple twist on chili might be to:

  • Use pork or chicken instead of beef.
  • Use unconventional beans like garbanzo beans, lima beans, or even substitute lentils.
  • Spice up your chili with cayenne pepper, oregano, or a touch of cinnamon.

3. BLT Sliders

Few foods are simpler than sandwiches, and sliders make for the perfect fun-sized party food. Bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches offer a different kind of slider that’s a cinch to make. Just fry up a whole mess of bacon, cut up some lettuce and tomato, and you’re in business for sandwich self-assembly.

A few items we might add to the traditional BLT include:

  • Caramelized white onions
  • Avocado spread
  • Chipotle mayo
  • Swiss cheese
  • Sprouts

7 Kid-Friendly Thanksgiving Foods

Tomorrow when you serve Thanksgiving dinner, you’re sure to please everyone’s taste buds… except for a few of your littlest guests. Kids are famous for not liking foods that they aren’t familiar with, and since many Thanksgiving favorites are only eaten once a year, it can be difficult to get kids interested.

But we’ve found some ways to remedy the situation by dressing up your Thanksgiving dinner foods to look just a little more like the foods that kids know that they already like. If you’re expecting more than a couple of children at your Thanksgiving table this year, you’ll find this list pretty handy!

1.   Turkey nuggets

Kids tend to be picky about meats, so if your child is hesitant when it comes to Thanksgiving turkey, he or she is not the only one. On the other hand, kids love any meat in nugget form: chicken nuggets, fish nuggets…why not turkey nuggets?

2.   Ice cream mashed potatoes

For children, food is often all about presentation. Therefore it’s a super easy fix simply to serve the mashed potatoes with an ice cream scoop. Top the scoops with some melted butter and garlic, or smother with turkey gravy if desired.

3.   Carrot macaroni and cheese

Is there a food more beloved by children than mac and cheese? We think not. The problem is the dish’s clear lack of nutritional value… at least until now! Before mixing the cheese into the cooked pasta, add a couple of cups of pureed carrots to the cheese mixture. Your kids will get their vitamins without even knowing the difference (the adults might, too!).

4.   Sweet potato crunch

Another way to get kids interested in the unfamiliar sweet potato is by dressing it in a kid-approved food: cereal! After prepping your mashed sweet potatoes, add some maple syrup and top with a generous layer of corn flakes.

5.   Turkey rice

Rice will balance out the flavor of the turkey and add some familiar texture. Just chop up a couple of slices of turkey and add a cup of cooked rice. You might even add a spoonful or two of Thanksgiving stuffing. Mix together and serve in a bowl to be eaten with a spoon.

6.   Thanksgiving pizzas

Another kid-approved food is pizza, which is usually not on the Thanksgiving menu. But all you really need for a pizza is a flat piece of bread and some toppings. So this year, try making Thanksgiving pizzas for the kids using wheat bread rolls or pre-baked pizza crust. Use a spatula to cover the bread in a layer of stuffing for the “sauce,” then top with green beans, carrots, and pulled turkey breast.

7.   Spaghetti squash

Many children love eating pasta, so try the healthy autumn alternative: spaghetti squash. Cut the spaghetti squash in half and bake, then let your children help you pull the inside of the squash into a bowl using a fork. The best part is that you can season it in any number of ways. For kids, try drizzling it with a little olive oil then sprinkling it with sea salt and Parmesan cheese.

Tips for Planning Your Holiday Season Wedding


Even with the mild climates of Southern California, a winter themed wedding offers a special something that can’t be matched any other time of the year. There are several advantages to having a wedding during the holiday season:

  • Family and friends are coming together already. Of course it’s important for all of your family to be able to attend, and the holiday season is the time when many people are traveling to spend time together and celebrate anyway. Additionally, people tend to take more time off work during the holiday season because of the vacation days built-up over the year.
  • It’s a magical time of the year. There’s no feeling like the one that’s in the air during the Christmas season. If you’re one of the many people who are in love with the Christmas season, it might be a good idea for you to choose this season to celebrate your love and commitment.
  • Something different from the usual spring and summer wedding scene. If you’re desperate to escape the conventional pastel-colored spring wedding, a Christmastime wedding just might be for you. Plus you don’t have to worry about scheduling your wedding for a different spring weekend than all your friends.

If you’ve decided that a Christmastime wedding is right for you, here are a few tips to help make your special day even more special.

1. Send save the dates well in advance.

Since most people have a lot going on during the Christmas season, send your save the dates as early as possible to give family and friends time to plan and make arrangements.

2. Don’t feel boxed in by holiday cliches. Instead, take advantage of them!

You certainly don’t have to use a red and green color pallet for a Christmas wedding, and you don’t need to have fake snow or a cake made to look like boxed gifts. But at the same time, having a Christmas wedding means that you can implement creative Christmas festivities. Take advantage of that fact, but try to put a new, personal spin on traditional Christmas wedding ideas.

For example, while you don’t have to use red and green in your color palette, try combining one of those colors with a complimentary one. Some Christmas color palette options might include:

  • Dark green and silver
  • Red and gold
  • Silver and blue
  • Sparkling purple and gold

3. Consider having a New Years themed wedding.

If you’re not able to get the family together near Christmas, try having a New Years themed wedding instead. The season is actually perfect for weddings: it symbolizes new beginnings, celebration, and the great relationships you have in your life.

Plus, while most people do not have to work on New Years Day, they aren’t as likely to have pressing family obligations like they might closer to Christmas. Your wedding is a celebration of love, so get your loved ones together and celebrate, New Years style!

4. Let your food and beverage choices reflect the season.

Again, don’t feel obligated to offer a traditional Christmas spread if it’s not your thing, but if it works for you, take advantage of the perks of having a holiday wedding. The food is one of the most fun aspects of a holiday wedding. Some of our favorite ideas include:

  • Roast turkey or ham
  • Traditional English Christmas foods such as Christmas pudding
  • Hot alcoholic drinks like egg nog, irish coffee, or mulled wine

A Christmas wedding is a beautiful and special occasion. While there are aspects that have become common in Christmas weddings, remember that there are no rules. Alternative Thanksgiving Stuffings


What’s your favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner? Is it the tender and juicy turkey, the warm buttered rolls, or perhaps the beloved pumpkin pie?

I’d venture to guess that for many people, the best part of Thanksgiving is the stuffing. It’s one of the few things on the dinner table that we only enjoy once each year, and it’s a quintessential wintery taste that reminds us of time with family and friends.

While that’s all well and good, eating the same recipe each and every year can get a little old. Shake it up a little this year by offering one of these Thanksgiving stuffing alternatives.

Note: All quantities below are based on recipes that serve 10-12 people.

Spicy Stuffing

Add some heat to your usual Thanksgiving stuffing with a little jalapeno.

Dice a half cup of fresh jalapenos. To the jalapenos, mix 3 tablespoons of crushed garlic and a cup of diced yellow onion (usually about 1 medium-sized yellow onion). Sautee with a generous portion of oil. All that oil will become infused with jalapeno heat, so add all of it to your usual stuffing recipe.

Hearty Harvest Stuffing

These additions bring out the natural flavors of the stuffing ingredients, plus they contribute a little extra density and flavor of their own. Just add:

½ cup of dried cranberries

1 cup of walnuts

1 cup of roasted pumpkin seeds

1 ½ cups of diced apples

To add an even greater dimension of flavor, roast the diced apples in the oven with a little bit of oil and maple syrup for 15 minutes before adding them to the mix.

Thai-Infusion Stuffing

While this adaptation is not for the staunch traditionalist, it might please the palette of gourmet-loving guests. To your usual stuffing recipe, add:

1 can of coconut milk

½ cup of chopped unsalted peanuts

2 tablespoons of fish sauce (available in some grocery stores and at your local Asian supermarket)

1 cup diced green onion

1 cup sauteed white onions

Serve with fresh lime slices and Thai chili sauce.

Italian-Inspired Stuffing

This stuffing alternative is always a welcome adaptation to the usual Thanksgiving stuffing.

1 cup freshly diced roma tomatoes

1 cup diced white onions

1 lb Italian sausage

1 tablespoon oregano

1 tablespoon fresh-cut basil

1 cup ricotta cheese

Roast together the sausage, roma tomatoes, onions, oregano, and basil, then mix the combination into your stuffing recipe. Seperately, mix in the ricotta cheese.

All-American Burger Stuffing

This all-American Burger stuffing adds the following ingredients to your usual stuffing recipe:

½ lb fried bacon

1 cup cheddar cheese

1 cup diced mushrooms

Simple, yet satisfying!

Sweet and Tangy Stuffing

To make this stuffing simply add to your normal recipe:

½ cup of orange rinds

1 ½ cups of fresh or frozen cranberries

16 oz. pineapple juice

½ cup grated coconut

3 Pumpkin Favorites to Try at Home


It’s November, and you know what that means: pumpkin obsession. There’s almost no food that can’t be turned into a pumpkin treat in some way.

This week, we want to share a few of our favorites. Some are relatively new to the world, such as the homemade pumpkin spice latte, while others have been around for awhile, like good ole’ fashioned pumpkin pie. Either way, you can bet that Garden of Eating Catering has a unique and fresh take on these pumpkin recipes!

Pumpkin Spice Latte


Forget paying $5 for a PSL at your favorite coffeeshop: you can make your own right at home. Here’s what you’ll need:

Pumpkin Spice Latte Syrup

1/4 pumpkin puree

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup of water

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon nutmeg

Milk and espresso to your taste

Bring water to a boil. Over medium heat, slowly add in the sugar a spoon at a time while stirring. Then add the pumpkin puree a spoon at a time. Finally, add cinnamon and nutmeg. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes as you continue stirring. Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes or until it thickens slightly.

Add as much as you like to espresso and steamed milk.

Savory Pumpkin Pie


Pumpkin pie has long been an autumn favorite, but we like to put a savory twist on it.

What you’ll need:


1 cup flour

1/3 cup butter softened

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon salt


1 cup canned pumpkin

2 eggs

½ cup whipping cream

3 medium yellow onions, chopped

1 teaspoon fresh basil

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

A pinch of ground black pepper

1 cup olive oil

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/2 cup Swiss cheese, grated

For the pie crust:

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Combine flour and salt together in a medium mixing bowl. Add butter and stir. Add the water a little at a time while folding.
  3. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  4. After 1 hour, sprinkle ¼ cup of flour onto a flat surface. Take the dough from the refrigerator and roll onto the floured surface. Place the rolled dough into a lightly greased pie pan. Use your fingers to adjust any unevenness.

For the filling:

  1. Sauté onions and crushed garlic in ½ cup of olive oil over medium heat. When onions turn translucent and golden around the edges, remove from heat.
  2. Combine onions, pumpkin, eggs, whipping cream, basil, salt, nutmeg, black pepper, butter, and ½ cup of olive oil in a large mixing bowl. Gently stir in grated swiss cheese.
  3. Transfer pie filling into the crust. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top appears firm and golden brown. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and black pepper.

Pumpkin Spiced Rum

½ cup pumpkin puree

1 pinch nutmeg

1 pinch cinnamon

2 tablespoon of maple syrup

1 1/2 cup of milk

Combine pumpkin puree, nutmeg, cinnamon, and maple syrup in a small pan and cook on low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. If you find that it’s too thick, add water a teaspoon at a time until you’ve reached the right consistency. Remove from heat and shake together with milk. Serves two, so multiply the recipe for Thanksgiving or your autumn party!
